The course « l’Albatros » is the stage for the FrenchOpen.

One of the best championship golf courses in Europe
Recognised as one of the best championship golf courses in Europe, it has seen many professional and amateur champions.
Albeit the Golf National is a candidate for a future “Ryder Cup” it is not reserved for the “elite” golfers.
Even if you do not play from the black balls, generally reserved for the golfers of the French Open for whom the 6520 metre are never a real difficulty, be prepared to use every clubs in your bag.
The Albatros combines harmoniously, the aspect of a “links” with that of a compact. Water obstacles, vast bunkers and rolling fairways coil among the hills on which roll the grasses of high roughs, which are the real difficulty of the course, especially when mingled with the wind.
The holes are open and tricky, risks or obstacles are never hidden. The vast greens, apparently uneventful, are exciting and very demanding.
Attack for the first 6 holes, make the most of the occasional Birdie, just up until the 12th, then be on the defensive up until the 18th, and you will see how exciting the finish is, particularly in Match-Play !
18 holes | 5961meters | Par71 | Architect : H. Chesneau - 1991
A little air of Scotland in France.
This course, suitable for all levels of play, takes you through hillocks, shrubberies, broom, and tufts of high grass reminiscent of Scotland which seduces all those who play there.
Wide fairways, few bunkers and good greens allow good scorecards ... at least on a good day.
With a par 71 for its maximum length of 5961 metres, l’Aigle is accessible to players of all levels, whether already ranked or just beginning with a Green Card.
Parts of the course give onto a farm: the farm of Villaroy. Its 18 holes allow the player to express his/herself without to many risks of seeing the ball finish in a lake or a bunker.
It remains, however, necessary to control length and precision on this often windy field. The contrasting coulours, the green of the fairways and the yellow of the high grasses, reminds us of the links of across the channel and it is not one of the least charms of this course whose greens are as enduring as those of l’Albatros.

The Teaching Course for the French Golf Academy.
This compact course used for teaching is neither very long (1955 meters for the men and 1761 meters for the ladies) nor very wide, but comprises of almost no rough. It has however been specially designed for practice and offers many types of situation conducive to learning and training.
Alone or under the supervision of the instructors from the National Golf’s School, l’Oiselet could be your first contact with a golf course and, later, the perfect environment for practical experience if you only have a little free time at your disposition.
