Two magnificent courses set amidst the Pines and the Dunes
With it’s 2 classic golf courses, Hardelot has one of the most beautiful golf settings in Europe. Just 2 kilometres apart, each with their own clubhouse, bar, restaurant and pro shop. Set within wonderful wooded surroundings, the Pines and the Dunes, distinct in their difference, each preserve their unique identity.
- The 18-hole Pines Course, built in 1934 by the famous British Architect, Tom Simpson, is recommended to golfers in France and abroad. Set out in a superb pine forest, it’s magical style has survived throughout the generations.
- The 18-hole Dunes Course, which opened in 1991, offers breathtaking surroundings amidst lakes, dunes and undulating landscape. It’s modern design and unique environment have contributed largely to it’s reputation.
In Le Touquet, 20 mn away by car, the Manoir*** Hotel ( 41 rooms overlooking the golf course ) and the Westminster**** ( 115 rooms in the town centre ) welcome golfers from all over Europe. A Championship Course
It was in 1906 that the original Pines Course, presided by the Duke of Argyll, brother-in-law to King Edward VII, attracted numerous golfers from Northern Europe. In 1931, it was re-designed by Tom Simpson and ever since has been host to many National and International Competitions.
A British-Style Course in a pine forest
Built and designed in a superb forest, it is the symbol of a British style which has survived the generations. The Pines, home to the quintessential English game, simple and refined. Well protected by its woody surroundings, it calls for accuracy rather than distance.
