HISTORY & VALUES
A STRONG TRADITION IN THE LEISURE INDUSTRY
Descended from a strong tradition in the leisure and hotel industry, the COFIGOLF family group, foreseeing the rapid development of golf in France, set up a golf marketing strategy in 1978. This plan enabled golfers to play in private clubs without being obliged to pay an entrance fee or acquiring shares. Within the spirit of this initial idea the Open Golf Club chain was born in 1987 and continued to develop by creating and acquiring golf courses. These were added to by the purchasing of Hotels on or close to the sites, thereby creating true resorts. The success of the chain today confirms the well-being of the concept.
OUR STRATEGY
The strategy of Open Golf Club is centred on the composition of a group leader within the top of the range golf-hotel industry, which concentrates on three dimensions: - Sport: golf is our savoir-faire. Our courses are top quality, of international renown (hosting top class european competitions) and are adapted to all levels of play. - Leisure activities: relaxation, excellent coaching, remarkable environment and gastronomy. - Tourism: we offer charming accomodation either on site or nearby, within tourist regions rich in natural, cultural and historical heritage.
QUALITY
Quality is the most important value within Open Golf Club. We are constantly striving not only to maintaining the quality of our products (golf courses, catering, accommodation) but also the quality of our service. Moreover, we continue, day by day, to improve these assets.
HOSPITALITY
Such is the commitment of the chain : to create golf courses for everyone. Today our courses are open not only to local players but also regional as well as tourists. Our hotels and courses host professional events (seminars, special events) and family occasions (private receptions, weddings).
RESPECT
Respect for others is part of the moral code. We take care to ensure that this code is present in each of our establishments: respect for our clients, respect for our collaborators and respect for the environment.
