The Rubens House

Plantin-Moretus Museum

This former printing shop is now a UNESCO world heritage site and museum. It is one of the city’s must-see attractions. The museum bears the names of Christophe Plantin and his son-in-law Jan Moretus, the first printers on an industrial scale. During your visit, you can explore their residence and workshop. Both are in such good condition, you would think they had just popped out on an errand. Browse the museum’s permanent collection and immerse yourself in 300 years of printing history.

Antwerp Zoo

Founded in 1843, Antwerp Zoo is renowned for being one of the largest zoos in Belgium. You’ll find the entrance behind Antwerp Central Station. During your visit, you’ll see over 950 species from all around the world, including seals, big cats and giraffes. You can even help to feed the animals by making a donation to the animal of your choice. If you want to give the elephants a meal, they’ll need 20 kg of carrots, 50 kg of white cabbage or 100 kg of apples!
