A golf club between the Lubéron and the Alpilles, surrounded by the scent of Provence
Golf International de Pont Royal in Mallemort in Les Bouches-du-Rhône lies between Aix-en-Provence and Avignon in the heart of Provence.
Ranked as one of the best golf clubs in Europe, it has hosted the Hopps Open de Provence, one of the stages of the European Challenge Tour, for the last three years. It is the only golf course in France to be designed by the Spanish champion Severiano Ballesteros. Built in 1991, it is laid out on former hunting grounds and surrounded by native scrubland and pine forest.
It blends beautifully into its natural, unspoilt setting and provides players with plenty of technical and tactical challenges. Its varied tees and diverse layout make it a real sporting challenge for players of all skill levels.
Golf de Pont Royal also offers the ‘La Durance’ golf training centre (the only one of its kind in the region), a 6-hole golf course and a 3-hole pitch and putt practice area.
Its location in Mallemort, just 30 minutes from Aix-en-Provence TGV station, Avignon station and Marseille Provence Airport, makes it the perfect base for exploring Provence.
